Cutouts Mirror Set
Bower teamed up with Dusen Dusen to create a collaborative mirror set called Cutouts. Ellen Van Dusen took inspiration from a pattern she designed for her clothing line and Bower helped translate it into a unique mirror triptych. Cutouts is composed of irregular fun shapes cut out of large rectangles of clear, architectural-grade glass mirror. The shapes sit within their own voids and pop with colorful outlines showing through the surrounding gaps created by an underpainting on the mirror's substrate. This new technique was discovered through experimentation in the development of the Cutouts collaboration.
